Roman Chamomile is a perennial, small and creeping plant with daisy-like flowers. The plant has a wonderful, sweet, fruity scent and is commonly used to make herbal infusions for medicinal uses. While it is probably the most popular and well-known therapeutic plant, chamomile is also a popular ingredient in a number of magical rituals. At the same time, the Vikings had a more practical use for chamomile, adding it to their hair shampoos to aid in the lightening of blond hair. In a number of folk magic traditions, particularly those of the American south, chamomile is known as a lucky flower.
The package contains 700 seeds. Outdoor sowing: April – June, September – October. Put it in a sunny, bright or semi-shady place. Pro tip: Roman chamomile is quite drought tolerant and can survive without water for a while. It can also be ideal for replacing lawns. The flowers are picked when they are in full bloom, early in the morning. Dry it in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place, turning it regularly. Chamomile should dry in about four days. Chamomile is known to be used to make medicinal tea, but its flowers are also edible. It can be a pleasant addition to cakes, biscuits and puddings, as its taste lends a natural, delicate sweetness and pleasant floral notes to all desserts.
