Poppies are one of the world’s most recignisable flowers, its bright red beauty has inspired many painters and other artists. This Falling in Love variety is not bright red, but has scarlet-orange, rose, pink and peach-coloured semi-double, double or picotee bicoloured blooms. Poppies should be taken just as the flowers begin to ‘pop’ out of their casing and the colour of the bloom is seen through the opening. The bloom will open up in the vase and they will last longer.
The package contains 150 seeds. Indoor sowing: February – March, outdoor sowing: April – June, September – October. Choose a sunny place. Attracts bees and butterflies. Expert’s tip: to seed poppies outside, remove weeds and scrape teh ground level. Spray with a light mist of water before scattering the seeds. Covering it is unnecessary.
