It is a low-growing, easy to care for houseplant. Its stems initially grow upright, later their weight make them droop. It will be a decorative ornament for your home either in a hanging planter or a pot. The leaves usually grow on its stems in groups of three, sitting on short stalks. The leaves have a striped lengthwise pattern.

Give it a bright spot, out of direct sunlight. It requires a constant temperature.

Provide the plant with well-draining soil, and water it only when the medium is dried out, otherwise the leaf stalks will easily rot.

Extras

Its interesting but not particularly showy flowers develop on long, slim stalks that grow above the foliage. Usually the flowers dry out in a few days, but sometimes the stalks hold them for weeks.
